On the 14th of September 2017, Stella Damasus spoke at the DC StartUp Week alongside the Co-Founder of Innovazing, Saleema Valleni. They came together to speak to people about "Mastering Body Language for Business"

Stella who is an award-winning actress, and therefore a master in the art of giving and observing body language, joined forces with Saleema to share some body language tips and tricks, that can be used to increase sales, win negotiations, and build rapport with team members and clients.

This podcast was born out of an article Stella wrote, and it gained so much attention that she decided to build something bigger out of it.

We had a Zumba Dance Session, then went off to have a very filling breakfast, we had our spa time with a shoulder and neck massage from two amazing massueses and we ended the day of fun at the movies.

Interestingly this is the second time Stella would be playing the role of Yetunde as this stage play was done 10 years ago in Nigeria. After 16 days of the abduction of these school children, the Federal Government of Nigeria is yet to take any affirmative action towards the search and rescue of the innocent girls, leavig their families in total confusion and agony.

'WHEN IS IT ENOUGH' SCREENS IN NEW YORK

The highly anticipated film by writer/director Daniel Ademinokan screened at the Anthology Film Archives in New York on friday March 28th. The event was graced by very influential people from the African community in New York and also by some very prominent American filmmakers. Actress and co-producer of When Is It Enough, Stella Damasus, was also present at the screening. The film is based on true events that happened a close friend of Stella Damasus. There was a Q&A session after the screening where Daniel Ademinokan shared his personal experiences that motivated him to do the film. His story brought tears to many peoples eyes. Ademinokan and Damasus went on to highlight the gravity of this problem in Nigeria and discuss how sanity can be restored.

Stella has always been a voice in Nigeria fighting for women and children and when the bill to support underage marriage in Nigeria for religious reasons, she stepped in and joined the CHILD NOT BRIDE campaign.
